IQMS Debuts Two New Solutions for Manufacturing ERP and Business Intelligence in the Cloud Powered by Oracle
IQMS Cloud IQ version of the IQMS system combines ERP and MES functionality into one comprehensive system; IQMS Web BI enhances insights via cloud-based business intelligence and visualization
ORLANDO, FLA. – April 4, 2017 – Increasingly manufacturers are turning to cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions to achieve greater agility, ensure data integrity and system uptime, and minimize infrastructure costs. To support these customers, IQMS, a leading manufacturing ERP software and manufacturing execution system (MES) authority, today announced that it has expanded its line of cloud-based solutions with two new offerings:
- IQMS Cloud IQ is the version of the IQMS ERP system running on the Oracle Cloud Platform. Like IQMS Enterprise IQ software, it uniquely combines robust ERP and MES functionality into one comprehensive cloud solution. IQMS Cloud IQ is available in the Oracle Cloud as hosted licensed software or as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) subscription.
- IQMS Web BI features rich, cloud-based business intelligence and visualization functionality from Oracle to help manufacturers gain greater insights into their ERP and Financials data. As with IQMS for Oracle Cloud Backup, which launched in 2016, the IQMS Web BI cloud service is available to all manufacturing customers, whether they have IQMS software deployed on-premises or in the Oracle Cloud hosted by IQMS.
These new Oracle Cloud-based solutions build on IQMS’s long-standing partnership with Oracle, which has provided the underlying database for the IQMS ERP system for nearly 25 years. They debuted at the 2017 IQMS Pinnacle User Conference being held, April 3-6, 2017, at the Lowes Sapphire Falls Resort in Orlando, Florida.
“From start-ups to Fortune 1000 manufacturers, more of our ERP customers are looking to the cloud, not just for cost savings, but also for the ability to get up and running quickly, scale as needed, and protect the data that drives their operations,” said Gary Nemmers, CEO, IQMS. “Today, we are extending our support for these customers with IQMS Cloud IQ and IQMS Web BI. Oracle serves as a trusted partner in delivering these new cloud-based solutions, bringing together extensive enterprise expertise, mature cloud technology, advanced security, and a strong understanding of our business.”
“Manufacturing companies are increasingly trusting cloud-based enterprise solutions to run their mission-critical operations,” said Inderjeet Singh, executive vice president, Global ISV, OEM, and Java, Oracle. “Oracle Cloud Platform can deliver enterprise-grade services at every level of the cloud technology stack, enabling IQMS to serve the needs of manufacturers with confidence.”
IQMS Cloud IQ
IQMS Cloud IQ features comprehensive ERP and MES functionality with all data managed by a single Oracle Database instance. This enables manufacturing enterprises to take a streamlined approach to centralizing activity across the supply chain and ensuring that complete, accurate information is available to all authorized users at all times. IQMS Cloud IQ is available from IQMS as a SaaS solution on the Oracle Public Cloud for customers that want to take advantage of IQMS via a cloud-based subscription and as a managed cloud service for manufacturers that want to own their IQMS license, but take advantage of a hosted cloud deployment.
IQMS Cloud IQ is powered by the enterprise infrastructure, data management, and storage capabilities of Oracle Cloud Platform and Infrastructure services. At the heart of the service is Oracle Compute Service, an enterprise-grade infrastructure service that provides a rapidly provisioned virtual compute environment to easily migrate workloads and run them at scale with predictable, consistent performance, control and visibility. Other Oracle Cloud capabilities include Oracle Database Cloud Service, Oracle Database Backup Service, Oracle Storage Cloud Service—Oracle’s enterprise-proven public cloud storage and archive service, and Oracle Network Cloud Service.
“Running the IQMS system in the cloud with our managed services provides our manufacturing customers a higher level of security and redundancy than they can typically achieve managing the system on their own,” said Dan Radunz, CTO, IQMS. “Equally important, IQMS Cloud IQ lets these companies move a large component of their IT responsibility out of the manufacturing environment, allowing them to focus on their operations and not on the supporting technology.”
IQMS Web BI
IQMS Web BI harnesses the functionality from the Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service to provide an advanced solution for analytics and data visualization. Using IQMS Web BI, manufacturers can enhance their decision making by gaining deeper insights from data in their IQMS Enterprise IQ and IQMS Cloud IQ systems. Dozens of interactive visualizations, automatic suggestions, and self-service discovery make it easy for users to create compelling analytics. Manufacturers also can take advantage of standard definitions, advanced calculations, and predictive analytical functions to enhance their data while ensuring consistency and maintaining governance.
Significantly, mobile support with IQMS Web BI means users’ analytics are available immediately and securely on any device. Additionally, the agile enterprise-grade cloud solution provides fine-grained security, is easy to administer, automates backups and patching, and puts users in control of change management.
“One of the great strengths of our IQMS ERP system is that the use of a single Oracle Database to manage all data enables our manufacturing customers to have a complete and consistent view of their operations in the office and on the shop floor,” said Radunz. “With IQMS Web BI, our customers can now derive even greater value from their data through easy access to ad-hoc analytics and the ability to create powerful reports and dashboards.”
IQMS uniquely combines ERP and MES functionality to give manufacturers a comprehensive end-to-end suite for running the business, backed by the real-time performance and scalability that companies demand. Developed specifically for mid-market repetitive, discrete and batch process manufacturers, IQMS provides robust capabilities for addressing strict customer and regulatory certification and compliance. IQMS achieves this by delivering traditional ERP functionality for accounting, sales orders, material requirements, inventory and purchasing, plus extended native features for CRM, human resources, production scheduling, shop floor control, warehouse and quality modules. With offices across North America, Europe and Asia, IQMS serves manufacturers around the world. For more information, please visit https://www.iqms.com.
