New sophisticated inventory management system increases productivity by 20 percent

Paso Robles, CA - June 24, 2009 -IQMS, a leader in the design and development of manufacturing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, today announced the release of its RackTruck platform solution. RackTruck is a sophisticated inventory management application that combines inventory scanning, forklift mounted monitors and stocking location mapping for manufacturers.
The IQMS Automation Group developed the RackTruck module as part of its continuing goal of working with existing IQMS customers to create greater efficiency and automation between shop-floor hardware and ERP software, resulting in leaner manufacturing operations. RackTruck utilizes fork-lift mounted monitors and scanners to provide capability that includes:

• Analyze multi-faceted inventory stocking or shipment requirements
• Determine which pallets should be pulled for a variety of orders
• Compare the requirements to the goods being made
• Combine supply and production review to determine stock location or cross docking instruction
• Determine what is left on the floor and prioritize the pulls and put-away for efficient utilization of manpower and equipment
