Randy Flamm Featured Presenter at
MAPP's Annual
Plastics Benchmarking Conference
Paso Robles, CA, October 15, 2008 - IQMS, a
leader in the design and development of Enterprise Resource Planning
(ERP) software, today announced that company president and founder,
Randy Flamm, is one of the featured experts who will present at
MAPP's 2008 Plastics Benchmarking and Best Practices Conference
to be held October 16 and 17 at the Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre.
MAPP, the Manufacturers Association for Plastics Processors, is
the largest non-profit trade organization of its kind in the United
States. The annual conference offers a no-nonsense business exchange
designed to provide "profit impacting" information to
senior executives in the plastics manufacturing industry.
As a featured presenter, Flamm will outline how "world
class" plastics processors gain and maintain their status by
using state-of-the-art technology and methodologies. From lean organizational
set-ups to the creative uses of automation, Flamm will show how
ordinary companies become extraordinary companies by the small things
they do. Flamm will draw from more than three decades of experience
working with hundreds of plastic processing companies to give attendees
actionable specifics that they can implement immediately for competitive
advantage.
"Plastics processors have long focused on the
overarching principles of lean manufacturing," says Flamm.
"But in looking at the bigger picture, we sometimes forget
that even small changes can deliver astonishing results. Time and
again we are seeing the most successful companies getting a greater
ROI by synchronizing with their supply chain and reducing inventory
levels, taking a hard look at their asset management, and streamlining
business processes and information management. Specifically in today's
economic environment it's important to gain that competitive edge."
This year's MAPP conference will also feature presentations
by: Jeff Mengel, partner and plastics industry team leader at accounting
and business advisory firm Plante & Moran; Bo Burlingham, author
of Small Giants, a book about the unconventional people who run
purpose-driven companies; and Laurie Harbour-Felax, seasoned automotive
industry analyst and president of the Harbour-Felax Group, a transportation
industry consulting firm based in Berkley, Michigan.
