IQMS Recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of America's Fastest Growing Companies
IQMS has been ranked by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest growing private companies in America. Listed at No. 4,723, IQMS experienced a three-year organic sales growth of 11% to place on the Inc. list for the first time. “Despite the tenuous economy, the past three years have been exciting for IQMS,” said Randy Flamm, president of IQMS. “We could not have achieved placement on the Inc. list without the support of our loyal customers whose constructive feedback every step of the way has allowed us to create a superior manufacturing ERP system.”
Mar-Bal Saves Over $270,000 and Gains 5000 Machine Hours with IQMS
Since 1970,
Mar-Bal has engineered and
manufactured quality, customized
materials and parts for the appliance,
electrical, transportation and
industrial marketplaces from its
four facilities in North America. As Mar-Bal expanded and increased manufacturing activity, their existing ERP system could no longer keep up with the agility of their operations.
After an extensive search for an ERP solution that could provide extensive functionality and support multiple manufacturing types, Mar-Bal selected IQMS.
Following implementation, Mar-Bal saw immediate results that totaled annual savings of $270,000 across its four plants as well as nearly 5,000 potential
machine hours that were no longer lost to downtime for monthly physical inventory checks. Read more about Mar-Bal's quest and the improvements seen throughout their organization.
IQMS Customer in NPR Spotlight as the Future of American Manufacturing
The success of IQMS customer Thogus Products in Avon Lake, Ohio was recently featured in an NPR broadcast on the future of American manufacturing. Taking over the company in late 2008, Matt Hlavin turned the focus to employee skills, technology and services as a way to succeed in a crumbling economy. In just two short years of its transformation, Thogus revenues have more than doubled
“It’s a Burger King economy,” says Hlavin. “It’s have it your way, right away, mass customization, not mass production. India and China are built for mass production.” A new engineering team was developed to focus on customized product consultation, design and development. Pads and computers keep an eye on each product line and robots do most of the labor. Hear more about the next generation of American manufacturing.
